Political Impact
Apparently My Political cartoon about Dean Florez's SB 708 had some impact. In an article by Roberta Barth of the Political Pulse (a newsletter of California politics, government and transportation), she said that:
"Opponents have deluged the senator with telephone calls, emails and letters, urging him to withdraw the measure. Political cartoons depicting Florez in his SUV chasing classic cars out of the state are circulating via emails, public forums, and web sites. Manufacturing and repair shops have posted them on walls. Some of Florez's constituents are talking about recalling him, or supporting a rival in the next election."
