My uncle was on the Abraham Lincoln when the president was giving his speech.
He's involved with a group that cooked steaks for the crew. All he had to do was buy a share of 5500 steaks and a plane ticket to Hawaii, oh and cook the steaks. He got on the aircraft carrier in Hawaii and road it all the way to San Diego. How's that for Cool.
They let him go all over the ship... engine room, ops room, bridge, on the deck while they shoot off F-18s.
I'm freaking jealous.
My first Moveable Type theme
Micah Sifry commissioned me to do a theme for is Moveable Type Blog, designed to promote his new book "The Iraq War Reader". It was the first time I have created a theme for Moveable Type, so I felt that it was a good opportunity. Creating a theme for MT was pretty straight forward, and didn't give me to many troubles. The only thing I found difficult was figuring out which theme did what, and why.
One immediate draw back I found to Moveable Type was that there is no way to package up a theme for easy distribution. The best solution I could think of was to build a page with text boxes so people can copy and paste each template. But then what do you do about images?
