A New design with a couple Old photos
My new site design is made up of photographs of my home town, Bakersfield CA.
The new logo is a take-off on Bakersfield's old welcome sign, which was torn down long before I was born. The background image was made from a photo of 19th street circa 1940 (maybe), which is about 2 blocks north of were I work now. The mountain in the yellow box are from a painting of the southern-sierras which you can see from Bakersfield on a clear day. Unfortunately, clear days are not as abundant as they used to be.
Google To Create "Blog" Search; Potentially Remove From Main
"Google, search engine of choice for pretty much everyone, has announced that it will begin a seperate index for blogs and remove them from the normal index, handling them instead in much the same way as their usenet archives. This will hopefully put an end to the recent difficulties locating primary source material among the mountains of blogs which are clogging the ratings system."
