Come to edBlogger 2003
I'll be presenting/attending at Pat Delany's BloggerCon inspired educational blogging conference. November 22 I will be participating in a intermediates tour of Manila. I will attempt to pass on some of the cool tricks and good practices I've learned to do in Manila. Here is the announcement which can be found on the Ed Blogger 2003 weblog.
It's not a convention - or is it?
Call your airline! Contact the hotel! Schmooze your principal or supervisor! Hell - take some sick leave if you have to.

Come to San Francisco for edBlogger 2003 -November 22, 23, and (maybe) 24.
It's officially on - online and onthe calendar. Click the headline to contributeto its evolving design and get the details for attendance. We'rerunning way late with this announcement and with preparations. Those ofus who are eBN members and work in k-12 public education don't see suchdescriptions as problems; they're the "condition of things." Wethrive on short timelines, "seat of the pants" planning, and absolutelyzero budget lines. Blogs, in their own ways, seem to support just such creative adaptibility.
So get on out here. Like public education, it's cheap, valuable, and aninvestment in the future. Besides, the Emerald City is off the hook.
And if the whole thing bombs, "No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."
Microsoft, music and antitrust
"Federal and state regulators are concerned that Microsoft may be violating the terms of its antitrust agreement with the "Shop for Music Online" feature of Windows XP, and have filed a court briefing regarding the issue. According to a CNET article, the "Shop for Music Online" feature raises concerns because it launches Internet Explorer and not the users chosen default browser. Microsoft has responded that it believes the feature falls within guidelines. The issue may be resolved by the courts if Microsoft and regulators are unable to reach an agreement." - Spymac
