Going East
Alison and I are are going to Washington DC to see the sights and visit with family. High on the list of sights we are sure to encounter will be the new National WWII Memorial, the new Air & Space museum annex, and the dreaded cicadas. Although I understand that their cyclical scourge is nearly complete. I am particularly looking forward to seeing my Aunt Cecilia Uncle Ray, and their children Rachel and Erica. Rachel in particular who despite our lack of regular communication (a failing that I take full responsibility for) is someone who I have always felt close to.
Additionally, Alison and I will be driving up to New Jersey to see my Grandfather's sister Joy. Aunt Joy is a class 'A' person due to her unwavering generosity, and spirit. Visiting with her is always a great experience, especially since her look and mannerisms remind me so much of talking to my sorely missed grandfather.
